Our diverse and talented team brings together a wealth of experience in engineering, logistics, fleet management, and sustainability, working collaboratively to drive the electrification of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) across the UK

University of Cambridge

Cambridge University, a prestigious academic institution in the UK, manages complex supply chain operations to support its extensive research and educational activities. This includes the distribution of research materials, library resources, and ensuring seamless operations across its numerous colleges and departments.

Centre for Sustainable Road Freight

The Centre for Sustainable Road Freight brings together multi-disciplinary teams of researchers and industry leaders to improve road freight efficiency and reduce its environmental impact. Our purpose is to research engineering and organisational solutions to make road freight economically, socially and environmentally sustainable. 


Flexible Power Systems

FPS delivers software-first solutions for any and all aspects of commercial fleet electrification. Our Operate software platform integrates existing data with our modelling systems to produce optimal roadmaps for decarbonisation that reduce costs, time, and emissions. Operate provides data that prove the business case and satisfy reporting requirements whilst streamlining operational efficiencies.

Our support team includes specialists in data analysis, vehicle performance, operational efficiency, and environmental impact. Together, they provide the technical expertise and strategic insights necessary to achieve Project JOLT’s ambitious goals. Each member plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless transition to an electrified logistics sector, contributing their unique skills and knowledge to make a lasting impact.


Pragmacharge

Pragmacharge is a pioneering company in the electric vehicle infrastructure sector, specialising in the logistics and deployment of EV charging solutions. Their operations encompass the installation, maintenance, and management of EV charging stations, ensuring a reliable and accessible network for EV users. Pragmacharge leverages advanced technology to optimise the placement and performance of their charging stations, contributing to the efficient and sustainable growth of the EV ecosystem.


Evyve 

Evyve is a company focused on the infrastructure and logistics of electric vehicle charging. Their operations include the deployment and maintenance of EV charging stations, ensuring a robust and accessible network for electric vehicle users.


Heriot-Watt University

Heriot-Watt University is a globally recognised institution known for its focus on science, technology, engineering, and business. The university is actively involved in research and innovation in supply chain management and logistics, contributing to advancements in sustainable transport and efficient operations. With a strong emphasis on real-world applications, Heriot-Watt collaborates with industry partners to address challenges in transportation, logistics, and infrastructure, preparing students to lead in these critical sectors.

John Lewis Partnership, encompassing John Lewis & Partners and Waitrose & Partners, integrates sophisticated supply chain operations to manage the flow of goods. This includes the efficient distribution of products from suppliers to stores and directly to customers, ensuring high standards of service and reliability.


Nestle 

Nestlé is the world’s largest food and drink company and is responsible for more than 80 brands in the UK & Ireland.  These span categories including confectionery, coffee, cereals, pet care, water, nutrition, food and dairy. Nestlé employs more than 8,000 people in the UK & Ireland across 17 sites including 13 factories.


Howard Tenens 

Established in 1953, today Howard Tenens has grown into one of the largest independently owned and operated logistics companies in the UK. We are an industry-leader in complex logistics, who like to challenge convention and embrace innovation. We pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and mutual value to our customers and have established many long-term relationships with clients in almost every sector, from retail and FMCG to automotive and packaging. We have been a leader in sustainable logistics for many years, with our journey beginning in 2009 with our pioneering project to convert 44 tonne HGVs to operate on CNG. Since then our portfolio of environmental solutions has grown to encompass renewable energy on all our rooftops, extensive use of biofuels such as HVO and biomethane in our fleet and trials of zero emission battery electric trucks underway. Our commercial vehicles are the major contributor to our carbon footprint, so in order to meet our Net Zero target of 2045, our priority is to decarbonise our fleet operations as soon as practicable through embracing new fuels and technologies.

With 10% of the fleet powered by non-fossil fuels including Bio-CNG and EV, Campeys are market leaders in sustainable transport solutions. The award winning business was crowned Haulier of the Year in 2024 at the Motor Transport Awards due to their excellent customer service, year on year growth, market leading technology and sustainability advances.

Since 1932, Knowles has grown from a single-vehicle operation into a leading UK logistics provider through strong leadership. Trusted by major businesses, they offer a wide range of warehousing and distribution services. Committed to efficiency and sustainability, they invest in renewable energy and operate a highly efficient fleet. Their focus is on delivering high-quality logistics solutions with long-term benefits while minimising environmental impact.



Road Haulage Association

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) is the UK’s leading trade association dedicated to the road transport and logistics industry. The RHA provides essential support and representation for road hauliers, advocating for industry interests and promoting best practices in transportation and logistics. With a focus on regulatory compliance, safety, and efficiency, the RHA plays a crucial role in shaping policies and standards that impact the road haulage sector and the broader supply chain.

William Jackson Food Group

From small beginnings with a grocery shop in Yorkshire in 1851, William Jacksons Food Group is now a sixth-generation family business, delivering quality food to customers all over the UK. Its mission is to keep a varied portfolio of great food businesses that reflect the changing times we live in. These businesses include Jacksons Bakery, Belazu, Abel&Cole and Wellocks.


Jacksons Bakery

Jacksons Bakery prides itself on the bread it lovingly bakes from its bakeries in Hull and Corby. It supplies most of the major sandwich makers and food service companies in the UK, and bakes bloomers under the popular Jacksons of Yorkshire brand, found in supermarkets nationwide. In 2024, Jacksons acquired the Yorkshire-based craft bakery Lottie Shaw’s, which scratch bakes treats such as award-winning Yorkshire Parkin and gingerbread, adding a third bakery to the Jacksons family.
